Platinum Recruiting, a privately owned company, was established in 1999 as a full-service recruitment agency. Our team brings a combined 35 years’ experience within Recruitment and Human Resources and we are skilled at providing quality candidates to businesses in all occupations and industries.

At Platinum Recruiting we are more than just work colleagues; we are a team.  We work together, we play together, we even volunteer together!  We pride ourselves on being active in our community, and we support a variety of organizations, including: BC Children’s Hospital, Kelowna Gospel Mission, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26 Kelowna, Canadian Cancer Society and SOS Safety Magazine.

David Miller - General Manager

After a career change from oil and gas, David became the General Manger of Platinum Recruiting in 2016.  His extensive background as an industry consultant and experience as a secondary school teacher makes him an excellent manager, team leader, and communicator with strong interpersonal skills. His ongoing passion is to see the potential in people realized and developed. When not working at Platinum, he can be found hanging with his family, repairing vehicles, renovating houses, going on hikes, reading good books or having meaningful conversations with friends.

Tracy Gooch – Operations and Finance Manager

Tracy joined the Platinum Recruiting team as Finance Manager in 2016.  Born and raised in Kelowna, she has over 30 years of bookkeeping experience.  She also has experience in retail, real estate appraisal and income tax preparation.  As Operations Manager, Tracy has a wealth of knowledge in business operations and human resources in a wide variety of industries.  In her down time, Tracy enjoys hiking, training her border collies and competing with them in a variety of dog sports.

Jez Cook - Sr. Recruitment Specialist

Jez has a positive and outgoing personality and will always go the extra mile for his clients to ensure the best possible candidates. Jez spent 6 years specialising in Technical and Engineering recruitment, sourcing entry-level to C-suite candidates. He became the National Account Manager for 2 international Engineering companies and led a successful team of Recruiters. Jez focuses on developing relationships with both clients and candidates to ensure the best fit for all involved. Jez and his family moved from the UK in 2018 and have been enjoying all that the Okanagan has to offer, including hiking, kayaking, and skiing.

Jaime Jorgensen – Recruitment Assistant

Jaime brings ten years of administrative experience to the team, including previous work with a recruitment agency in Vancouver, giving her a strong understanding of both client and candidate expectations. Jaime is a natural customer service provider and brings her cheerful, positive personality to her role. She provides recruitment assistance and administrative support for our busy team.  When Jaime is not in the office, she is experimenting and creating baked treats for her friends, family and colleagues.  When she isn’t baking you can find her enjoying the outdoors with her partner and her energetic dog Zelda. 

Ryan Fehr

Ryan Fehr - Business Development & Marketing

Ryan brings sales expertise and a passion for helping businesses reach their full potential by finding the right talent. Ryan comes from a background of Fitness & Health and Construction Sales. Originally from Ottawa, Ryan made the move to Kelowna in 2019 and absolutely adores the Okanagan. With a focus on fostering relationships with our existing clients and establishing new ones, Ryan gets a kick out of connecting with local businesses, identifying how we can help and building upon those relationships. You can find him up at Big White usually every weekend in the Winter season and at the beach, golf course, or hiking a trail in the warmer months. 

Alexia Turner - Intermediate Recruitment Specialist

With an educational background in Human Resource Management, Alexia has dedicated herself to helping others find new and exciting opportunities. Driven by her extensive background working in customer-focused environments, Alexia is committed to providing her clients and candidates with an enjoyable and personable experience. Working alongside individuals from various industries, Alexia strives to understand their needs to ensure a perfect fit. When she is not in the office, you can find Alexia hiking, enjoying time on the lake and exploring various wineries and landscapes that Kelowna has to offer. 

Stephanie Bray - Administrative/Recruitment Assistant

After earning her degree in Business Administration with a major in management at the Okanagan College School of Business, Stephanie joined the Platinum Recruiting team as Admin & Recruitment Assistant. With over ten years of customer service and relationship development, she takes pride in improving the recruitment experience and supporting her team. Stephanie’s passion for leadership and helping others not only shines in the workplace but can also be accredited to her contributions outside the office. She has been an active fundraiser and participant in Motionball for the Special Olympics Canada Foundation for the previous four years. When she is not focused on working or volunteering, you will find Stephanie hiking, cooking, or spending time with her friends and family.

Taya Laird -Junior Recruitment Specialist

After recently graduating from Okanagan College’s Bachelor of Business Administration program, with a major in Marketing, Platinum Recruiting has welcomed Taya to the team as their newest Junior Recruitment Specialist. With a diverse background in customer service, Taya is excited to create new connections with clients and candidates in a positive and cheerful manner. Taya is looking forward to applying her newly acquired skills and knowledge to help her gain experience in a cooperate environment. When the workday is finished you can find her at the gym, golfing or enjoying the various local wineries around the Okanagan.

Meg Robinson - Junior Recruitment Specialist

Meg has recently joined the Platinum Recruiting team after spending the last few years in finance and sales. Driven by providing a high level of customer service, she is excited for her new opportunity within the Recruitment Specialist role! Meg enjoys connecting with people and looks forward to building strong relationships and providing an excellent experience for clients and candidates alike. Outside of the office you can likely find her enjoying all the Okanagan has to offer (mostly wine), as well as golfing, sailing, and enjoying the outdoors with her shepherd Leonard.

Rachel Komant - Recruitment Administrative Assistant

Platinum Recruiting has welcomed Rachel to the team as their newest Recruitment Administrative Assistant. With a background in administrative support and customer service, Rachel is excited to use her knowledge to provide her new team with ample support. She is a natural customer service provider and enjoys bringing her positive personality to her position. Rachel is excited to build strong relationships and make a positive impact within the Platinum Recruiting team. Once the work week is over you can find her, spending time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors or searching for the perfect vintage finds!
