David became the owner of Platinum Recruiting in 2016. He has a varied background bringing 40+ years of work, industry, education and life experience to the organization. David has an extensive background as a consultant in the Oil and Gas industry as well as being a secondary school teacher. He has a degree in Education from the University of Alberta, with a major in Physics and Chemistry. David is an excellent manager, team leader, and communicator with strong interpersonal skills. David has always enjoyed fixing vehicles as a backyard mechanic, and he enjoys being involved in his community.
Tracy joined the Platinum Recruiting team as Finance Manager in 2016. Born and raised in Kelowna, she has over 30 years of bookkeeping experience. She also has experience in retail, real estate appraisal and income tax preparation. As Operations Manager, Tracy has a wealth of knowledge in business operations and human resources in a wide variety of industries. In her down time, Tracy enjoys hiking, training her border collies and competing with them in a variety of dog sports.
Heather has been recruiting in the Okanagan for over 14 years, specializing in senior and executive level placements. She originally joined the Platinum Recruiting team back in 2006, having just returned to her hometown of Kelowna after living in England and Australia for 13 years. While living overseas she obtained extensive experience working in international corporate environments in a variety of industries. Heather has a passion for bringing great jobs and great candidates together and is committed to providing outstanding service and professional consultation. Heather enjoys hiking with her dog Tango and is an avid golfer.
Jez has a positive and outgoing personality and will always go the extra mile for his clients to ensure the best possible candidates. Jez spent 6 years specialising in Technical and Engineering recruitment, sourcing entry-level to C-suite candidates. He became the National Account Manager for 2 international Engineering companies and led a successful team of Recruiters. Jez focuses on developing relationships with both clients and candidates to ensure the best fit for all involved. Jez and his family moved from the UK in 2018 and have been enjoying all that the Okanagan has to offer, including hiking, kayaking, and skiing.
Kate has a diverse background that includes communications, marketing, client relations, tourism, event planning, & human resources. Throughout her career, she has been responsible for the hiring, training, and management of volunteers, staff, and interns at numerous organizations and has consistently developed and maintained positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. Her belief in the importance of creating a healthy corporate culture and in treating employees as an employer’s greatest asset has led her to join the team at Platinum Recruiting. Kate enjoys getting out to community events and supporting local businesses, especially if they serve a good latte!
Jaime brings ten years of administrative experience to the team, including previous work with a recruitment agency in Vancouver, giving her a strong understanding of both client and candidate expectations. Jaime is a natural customer service provider and brings her cheerful, positive personality to her role. She provides recruitment assistance and administrative support for our busy team. When Jaime is not in the office, she is experimenting and creating baked treats for her friends, family and colleagues. When she isn’t baking you can find her enjoying the outdoors with her partner and her energetic dog Zelda.
Justin brings experience and enthusiasm for growing a thriving, client-centered business. He began his professional career as a Physiotherapist, obtaining his Master’s in Physiotherapy from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He practiced as a Physiotherapist for 4 years and prior to joining Platinum Recruiting was working as the Director of a multidisciplinary clinic in Kelowna. Justin is passionate about building relationships and helping clients maximize their potential by building exceptional teams. Justin absolutely loves living in the Okanagan as it allows him to fully dive into his favourite hobbies, including: rock climbing, mountain biking, snowboarding, and hiking.
