Platinum Recruiting has the privilege of working with one of the Okanagan’s largest fruit companies who are looking to hire a full time Accountant to join our team.

This position will see you performing full cycle accounting duties including

• Reconciliations of bank accounts
• Complete banking transactions (electronic fund transfers, renewal of banker acceptances)
• Preparation and submission of StatsCan reporting
• Preparation of agricultural and food reporting requirements
• Preparation of GST and PST returns
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements
• Assist in monthly variance analysis
• Supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as required
• Ensuring all accrual entries are posted in the appropriate period for expenses like; insurance, property tax, and amortization
• Supporting in analysis and reconciliation of accounts for year-end audit

Required qualifications and experience:

High School Diploma AND post-secondary level courses/training related to accounting. A degree or diploma is desirable but not essential, and CPA/CGA designation is a distinct advantage.

For this position you will need to have 2-3 years minimum accounting experience but the more you have the better.
