What you can expect from this role:-
This position will see you using your previous Project Management experience to help support the company on the manufacture of specialized Electrical units. Your knowledge of interpreting technical specs for each client’s project requirements, manage the project milestones and providing progress reports/updates to stake holders, maintain project budgets, planning staff duties and workloads.
Other responsibilities include liaising with the design department to ensure projects meet the clients needs, working with the Engineering Manager and project planners to establish a project schedule, support the departments ongoing review and continuous improvement of procedures, standards and methods. Quality is as always paramount so ensuring tasks are assigned and completed to both ISO and company standards.
Being an integral part of the team, your excellent communications skills (both written & verbal) are crucial as you will be building strong relationships with both your direct team as well as other departments throughout the company, including Purchasing/Accounting, Logistics, Design as well as external parties/clients.
Your skills and experience: –
Well it goes without saying that you are highly organized and have a strong Project management background (Specifically with Electrical) for more than a couple of years and have a post secondary education/ trade certificate with an Electrical focus. It is highly desirable (but not essential) to have a certificate in Project Management and or the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
Things that will really set you apart from the crowd is if you have used Epicor (ERP) software and have experience of electrical substations.
