Overview

Are you an outgoing and experienced Office Manager with some experience of basic Human Resources duties and looking to join a professional law firm in central Kelowna and be able to put you mark on the role then this could be your perfect opportunity!

The role: –

You could see yourself working closely with a team that provides outstanding service to their customers/clients. This is a key role within the company and will give you the scope implement projects and new processes to allow this great company to continue to offer the best service to their clients.

Your previous office management experience is crucial for this role as you will be responsible for the smooth running of the office, this could include implementing new processes or systems to increase the efficiency of existing procedures, reducing paper usage and maximizing potential office space usage and ensuring sufficient stationary and office supplies are in stock.

If you have experience of implementing the use of new IT systems (such as databases, cloud storage and shared calendars etc.) would be desirable but previously completing projects such as digitizing company filing systems is ideal.

With this role there are some minor Human Resources duties, such as being the initial point of contact for the staff to approach for day to day needs, assist with onboarding of new staff, provide job details for new staffing needs to relevant parties and build strong relations with the team.

A professional attitude goes without saying but a positive, happy and outgoing personality is what sets you apart from the other candidates.

 

Your skills and experience: –

It goes without saying that you will know your way around Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), experience of Office 365 is advantageous, have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) but your ability to multitask and adapt to new requirements is what will set you apart for the competition.

It is preferred for this position if you have a post secondary education in a relevant field such as Business Administration and if you have any official Human Resources training would be advantageous but not essential.

The package: –

This is a full-time permanent position that has opened due to development of the company.
