Our client in the service industry boasts a long history of providing top quality customer service throughout the Okanagan. This respected and well-established team has an opening for an experienced Office Administrator with strong computer skills in their busy and fast-paced office. Located in Vernon, this is a full-time permanent position from Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

 

Key Duties

  • Reception – answer and direct phones calls to the appropriate staff members
  • Receive and distribute emails as necessary
  • Completing reports, processing timesheets, data entry and payables data entry
  • Preparation of mail and courier deliveries
  • Filing and maintaining all documents, invoices, and general correspondence
  • Maintaining office equipment, ordering supplies and providing general office assistance as required
  • Project coordination where required; progress billing, reconciliation etc.
  • Inventory management and associated data entry
  • Accounts Payable support (data entry and coding)
  • Reconciliation of credit card statements
  • Daily bank deposits
  • Assistance to the Finance Manager

Requirements

  • Tech savvy with strong computer skills including proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook and other software as required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional telephone manner and customer service focus
  • Accounting experience is an asset
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines
  • Collaborative team player
  • Self-motivated, adaptable and responsive to and capable of handling change
  • Forward thinker, proactive, attentive to detail, ability and desire to learn new things
