Overview

Are you an experienced Scheduler looking for a new position? If you pride yourself on your attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills then this could be the perfect role for you!

The role –

This position would see you as the Scheduling Coordinator for a company that supports the broadcasting industry for 24/7 content. You could be responsible for ensuring the planned workload of 20 remote staff as well as supporting the on-the -fly requirements.

The main focus will be maintaining and updating online documents such as scripts, client information, daily records and manuals for the staff that cover the 24/7 broadcast requirements. You will be the first point of contact for trouble shooting and support with on air issues.

Due to the nature of the industry and this role, you will need to occasionally work outside of the standard hours when required and be on call on alternate weekends for the rare times alterations need to be made.

As you progress and develop in this position, additional duties may entail, supporting with hiring new staff, acquisitions and client awareness.

Skills & Requirements –

For this position, your background in complex scheduling is invaluable but also your ability to self-prioritize your tasks, are IT savvy and a skilled Microsoft Office user (especially with Excel, Outlook and Word.

While this position will primarily (90%) be working from home/remote, you will need to be in a realistic daily commute from Kelowna as you will need to complete your training in the office and potentially go into the office occasionally.

For this position you would need to have your own computer/laptop that can support (and have) dual monitor setup, hard wired internet and also the ability to view Canadian tv channels from all 5 time zones (Satellite or Cable service).

If you have previous knowledge/experience of the Broadcast industry is highly advantageous but not essential.
