This position will see you using your previous Project Management experience to ensure the timely completion of a number of large residential projects throughout Kelowna while reporting to the VPO of Construction. You will have knowledge of tender award, maintaining project schedules liaising between IPL and Trades, change orders, budget preparation, cost tracking, analyzing estimates, tracking project statistics and ensuring due diligence.
This hands-on position will see you working both onsite managing the trades teams along with the Site Superintendent and in the office working with the planning and administrative staff.
It goes without saying that you are highly organized and a proficient communicator (both writing and verbally) and as you will know from working as a Project Manager for more than 5 years you are also a great problem solver.
With the ever changing world of construction, staying up to date on all the current regulations and requirements is a must and being able to relay this in a timely manner to the involved parties is part of your role supporting the team.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (including MS Project) is a must along with being able to read AutoCAD designs. Experience of VISTA, Bluebeam and Planswift will give you the extra leg up to show you are the best candidate!
